Salt electrolysis System
Salt chlorinators electrolysis provides a new concept of water treatment for the pool, improving water quality, avoiding the use of chemicals and simplifying maintenance tasks.
Water treatment using chlorinator is a closed cycle in which there is a very low salt consumption. Salt chlorinator produce chlorine from common salt dissolved in the water. The chlorine then destroys organic material and germs present in the water and changes back into salt.
The use of this system saves considerable amounts of water. Salt chlorinators also avoid skin or eye infections as it destroys the chloramines that cause them.
Only small amount of salt needs to be diluted in the pool water (6 g/litre) at the beginning of the season. Subsequently, you will only have to add small amounts of replacement salt depending on water losses during filter cleanings.
When the salted water flows through the electrodes, salt chlorinators converts the salt into an active disinfectant called sodium hypochlorite that destroys algae, bacteria and fungi and oxidises organic residue.
This disinfectant then converts back into salt, starting the cycle again without salt losses.
An environmentally friendly system
Salt chlorinators produce significant daily water savings (up to 5% of the total volume of the pool) as they prevent the generation of residual cyanuric acid. Widespread use of this system would reduce the environmental impacts of the chlorine and chlorine by-products industry.
The antiseptic qualities of salt water and particularly the use of this water for the treatment of eye, skin, nose and ear irritations have been well-known since ancient times.
Salt chlorinators avoid skin or eye irritations: the chloramines that cause these problems are destroyed when salt chlorinators are used. Furthermore, salt chlorinators completely dispel the smell and taste of chlorine from the pool.
A completely safe system
There is no chemical transportation, storage or handling risks as it is not necessary to handle or store chlorine.
Salt chlorinators are completely safe as they operate using a maximum voltage of 10V, which is equivalent to the voltage used in a light bulb. These systems automatically and safely generate chlorine in situ.
Easy installation and assembly
The system can be installed in any pool without the need for any construction work and is very easy to use.
